nye look x 1

every year I go for the typical little black dress or gold sequin skirt for New Year's Eve...and this year i have been gravitating toward blushes. this outfit is more casual...maybe if you are going over to a friend's or your family's house to celebrate. although this dress is no longer in stock, i have linked some other similar options....and come back later this week to see my second outfit idea..it will still be in at the blush/rose gold family, but more appropriate for going out.

well it's t-minus 2 days! who is excited for Christmas? Christmas is my favorite holiday! i love everything about it...and i mean EVERYTHING...except egg nog! i have put together two different outfits for Christmas this year...this one is a little bit more classic and the second one is a little more casual. the skirt if from last year, but i have linked two similar colors in the same exact skirt...it's a perfect holiday piece, especially paired with my favorite vest which is over 50% off!

well it's almost that time...can you guys believe Christmas will be here in less than 3 day?! 2016 flew by! it has been such a busy year in our household...i almost did not think we would have time to send out holiday cards this year, but we somehow managed it! this is the second time i've used Tiny Prints and i am so happy with how they turned out! anyways....i will be featuring a couple of Christmas outfits in the next few days, so come back and check them out and i hope you all have a happy holiday season!

warm winter nights.

dress: Lush - (here)
scarf: Free People - (here)
purse: Rebecca Minkoff - similar (here)
shoes: Steve Madden - (here)

living in Florida means trying to figure out how to wear your favorite fall items (like this soft scarf) in 70 degree weather...most people would say that's not a problem....until you have been here for a couple of winters and all you want to do is stop using your AC in the middle of December. no joke, our AC runs daily...i stopped it for three hours the other day and the house was at 78 degrees. so when trying to wear my favorite fall basics (this scarf, over the knee boots, faux fur vest, or my FAVORITE blanket scarves) i usually pair them with dresses. this dress works with any of those items, because it's lightweight but has a longer sleeve so it looks season appropriate. check it out while its on sale!

i hope you all have a great weekend.

hi guys! many of you might notice that this post is somewhat different that most...you can usually find me in dresses and heels (what can i say...i am a girlie girl) but every once in a while i fall in love with a sweater...and there is nothing better than a sweater with some boots. this is what happened when i saw this quilted Patagonia pullover. i have been wanting a Patagonia Re-Tool Snap Pullover for ever (it's on my Christmas list this year) but when i saw this quilted version on sale during Black Friday for under $100 i just had to grab it. its perfect for wearing with leggings or jeans and as you can see it can be layered. in case you were wondering, i ordered a Medium and there is still a lot of room to layer. anyways...i highly recommend it for a great Christmas gift for all those girls who love to dress up but also want to look cute when they are dressed down.

it's pouring outside right now....and i wouldn't be caught dead in anything but my Hunter boots and my favorite North Face rain jacket, but instead i am looking back on this outfit from this past week and wishing i could rewear it. this scarf is an essential piece to have in your closet..it can be dressed down or up and it's $25! i usually wear it with skinny black jeans and a tank, but i decided to dress it up a little bit more for this outfit. let me know what you guys think.
