southern California is finally starting to cool down...and by cool down i mean it has gotten down to 70 degrees (which is practically still summer weather) but i am taking it as an opportunity to finally wear some more sweaters. i love this one, because it is black and white, which makes it so easy to pair stuff with, but it has a fun print that can be dressed up or down. i pulled this look together a couple of nights ago when John and i decided to go out for some drinks and appetizers, but i also love wearing this sweater with some skinny jeans and flats (for errands or movie night). there are many animal print sweaters out in stores right now, and they are a great purchase, because of how wearable they are...not to mention how comfy they are too..so go snag one from your nearest mall! thank you so much for reading! xx

this past weekend i ran across this skirt at Forever 21, and instantly had to grab it! it is so flattering and can be worn with so many different tops. i love pieces that are versatile and the fact that it was less than $25 was just an added bonus. this would work great for the office with a button down or for a night out with the girls with a crop top...or like i wore it with a simple black tank for date night. i hope you all have a great week.

if you are like me, you were just a little too late on the whole Zara blanket scarf craze. after it sold out in practically minutes, it started going up on Ebay for up to $100....and as much as i wanted to get it, i could not justify paying that much for a scarf, but soon after the dupes started to show up in stores and online. i bought mine last year at H&M, but since then there has been thousands that have popped up that look EXACTLY like the original. whether you go for one that looks like the original or one that is a little different you won't go wrong with this amazing piece! you can wear it literally with anything and it is so warm and cozy. so run to the nearest mall (or if you just wanna lounge in your PJs...go on to Ebay) and buy yourself one.  hope ya'll has an amazing weekend!

as many of you know John and i moved across the country for a few months. he started a specialized Navy school two weeks ago and i was lucky enough to be able to join him on this adventure. we will be in San Diego until mid December, and with packing and traveling, and unpacking, and exploring i had very little time to blog the past couple of weeks, but i am back!
yesterday we went out for a date night to cap off our amazing four day weekend. we went to a local sushi spot and enjoyed some delicious sushi and sake. i figured i would dress up a little, since i have been living in jeans and tank tops (the weather has been in the upper 80s/ lower 90s) and this dress seemed like the best choice (and one of my only choices, since i could only bring two suitcases out here) i bought this dress a few weeks ago for $12.80, and for that price i couldn't believe how well it fit and how versatile it is..you can wear it with anything from a leather jacket to a cardigan. i paired it with this old denim jacket to give it a more casual look. have great Monday!
